PERALTA ADOBE & FALLON HOUSE HISTORIC SITE
175 W. Saint John Street
(408) 993-8182

Located in San Pedro Square, this historic site provides an intriguing glimpse into the Spanish Colonial, and Mexican past of the city of San Jose. The 1855 Fallon House, once home to Thomas Fallon, an early mayor of San Jose, has been restored to reflect the elegance of the mid-Victorian era.

The Peralta Adobe, built in 1797, is located across the street from the Fallon House. It is the oldest building in San Jose and  the only remaining structure from the Pueblo de San Jose de Guadalupe, founded in 1777. This adobe brick structure was the home of Luis Maria Peralta, the Spanish Comisionado of the Pueblo.

Both sites open:
Tue. through Sun.
12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Buildings accessible through tours.
